CEC Football Remains UNDEFEATED

The Eagles improved to 11-0 as they cruised to a 54-12 victory over the "Phoenix Firebirds" of the School of the Future in Saturday's District 12 Title Game.  The team was outstanding in all facets of their game and were sparked by a first-half interception and touchdown return by Sophomore Brendan Walker who sprinted 30 yards for the score.  Eagle fans were also thrilled by a 90-yard Touchdown return of a kick by Senior Pat Garwo as the first half was winding down.  Garwo scored 4 touchdowns to extend his school scoring record to 460 points.  Alex Goldsby was outstanding at quarterback once again, as he piloted the Eagles to the victory.  Terome Mitchell shined on both sides of the ball and was the recipient of a perfect 48-yard touchdown pass from Goldsby.  The team defense was lead by the Majors brothers, Dwayne and Chris, and seniors Chauncey Kratee, Tom Burns and Sean Stokes continued their solid play.  Juniors Sean Reilly, Sam Schurr, and Sean Kleinfelder made strong contributions in shutting down the high-powered offense of the School of the Future.  Soph, Andrew Garwo had a key interception early in the game that helped the Eagles set the tone for the game.
