(Monday, July 1, 2024) - FAIRLESS HILLS, PA – Conwell-Egan Catholic High School is thrilled to share that Mr. Michael Miller has been named the Director of Athletics. Miller has served as the Assistant Athletic Director at CEC for the past four years. Since 2020, Miller was also the Head Athletic Trainer for CEC Athletics, as well as a CEC faculty member teaching introductory Sports Medicine.
Miller began his career in Athletic training at Pennsylvania State University, followed by a stint as an intern with the Philadelphia Flyers organization to assist with plans of care for various injuries and training. He was an Assistant Athletic Trainer with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, the AHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins from 2019-2020.
Miller earned his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Penn State University and holds a Masters in Athletic Training with a focus on Advanced Clinical Practice from East Stroudsburg University.
“I am both honored and extremely excited to be the next Director of Athletics at Conwell-Egan Catholic High School,” said Miller. “I'm looking forward to helping a great group of coaches and student-athletes accomplish their goals and continue to add to the rich history of CEC athletics.”
CEC thanks Mr. Patrick Donlen ’74 for his eight years of service to the Athletic Department. Donlen’s tenure was highlighted by the renovation of the athletic facilities across campus, which included two multipurpose turf field installations. Donlen will assume a new role at CEC as Director of Alumni Relations and Development to support the Alumni and Advancement efforts of the school.
“It has been an honor to lead our Athletic Department for the past eight years,” said Donlen. “I feel that it was a transformative and successful time for the school and our student-athletes. I am looking forward to the challenges and opportunities that await me in my new role.”
