CEC Students Lead Scott Craven '97 Courtyard Dedication

Veteran Mentor and Gold Star Father Bob Craven has spent countless hours mentoring and pouring into students at CEC through our partnership with the Travis Manion Foundation (TMF). On Saturday, June 4, our students found a creative way to thank him.

At the end of every TMF Character Course at CEC, there is an Operation Legacy service project that the students organize within their community. With a goal to make their service project extra special for Bob and his family, students from the past three CEC Character Course cohorts planned, budgeted, and constructed a masonry wall with benches in a garden area of the newly updated courtyard, dedicating it to Bob's son, CPT Scott Craven, USAF, CEC Class of 1997.

It was a powerful moment to witness the Craven family being surrounded by love and support from the community. Special thanks to Mr. Craven, Mr. Jordan Schiavo, and the mentors, students, and friends who had a hand in making this amazing project come together!
