Hello Eagle Nation,
I hope everyone is getting excited for basketball season!
I first would like to introduce myself, my name is Sean Tait and I am a dedicated educator, coach and a graduate of Father Judge High School Class of 1995. I made my mark as a standout athlete, earning All-Catholic honors and the Catholic League Northern Division MVP award in 1995. I played collegiately at Cabrini University from 1995-1999.
I was able to transition seamlessly from player to coach after my playing days. I served as Head Coach at Archbishop Wood from 2007 to 2008 and Father Judge High School from 2009 to 2021, instilling values of teamwork and determination in my players while leading the team to numerous successes. My passion for the game and commitment to my players earned me recognition as PCL Co-Coach of the Year in 2017.
Continuing my journey in the realm of collegiate athletics, I was able to bring my expertise to Delaware Valley University as Associate Head Coach from 2021 to 2024, where I continued to shape young athletes both on and off the court. I am also currently Assistant Director and Head Coach of Philly Revolution AAU .I am very excited to be back in the PCL and I am ready to start building the program.
I wanted to share a little information on something we as a program have been working hard to launch since I was hired in May. As I went through the interview process, one of the questions that came up was how to engage the alumni, not just basketball alumni, but all alumni, in showing support and interest in the basketball program. With that being said, I am extremely excited to announce that we will be launching the CECHOOPS 6th Man Club.
We have created a Board that is working behind the scenes to develop programs and events to help support and create excitement about the program.
The 6th Man Club has been formed exclusively to provide support for the Conwell-Egan Catholic High School Basketball Program and its members at all levels. The 6th Man Club will engage alumni by having events and gatherings as well as being the fundraising arm to support financial needs of the program. In launching the 6th Man Club, we would like to officially kick start our membership drive. As a benefit of membership, all members will receive a t-shirt and 2 tickets good for all PCL home games. We will have quarterly events/meetings to engage and hopefully see as many people as possible. The cost of an annual membership is $100. Membership can be done directly online, please just reach out and we will provide instructions.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. Please share with whomever you feel would be interested. Look out for the first membership meeting which is currently being planned for early November. We look forward to seeing everybody soon!
Sincerely,
Sean Tait, Head Coach
