On Saturday, November 21, the Community Service Corps and Respect Life Clubs organized the annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. This year's event was made entirely drive-thru, allowing donations to be dropped off safely in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
Students collected items throughout the day and enjoyed live music provided by a live DJ, CEC's own Mr. Sifoni, and Chuck's BBQ food truck was also on site. The CEC Father's Club also provided refreshments for our students and volunteers.
CEC managed to collect a record total 14,767 items! This is almost three times the amount collected last year. These goods, along with close to 40 frozen turkeys, will benefit local shelters this Thanksgiving. Special thanks to Mr. Tony Goodman and our students for a fantastic job.
The Blue and White Spirit Night teams were also challenged to collect the most items to be awarded one Spirit Night point. Congratulations to the White team for winning this years "Parking Lot Wars!"
Nothing shows CEC pride better than giving back! A gift to the CEC Drive helps ensure the financial strength of CEC. We encourage alumni, parents, and friends of CEC to donate to this fund to enhance the overall quality of the school, education, and advancement in technology.
