CEC offers a comprehensive, college-preparatory curriculum, including Honors and Advanced Placement (AP) level coursework.
The Center for Student Leadership is Conwell-Egan's newest initiative to help students discover and develop their leadership skills. The CSL will provide one-of-a-kind programs that both challenge and reward CEC students.
The arts are a reflection of humanity and the CEC Fine Arts program aims to give students the opportunity to better understand themselves and the world around them.
From freshman to senior year, our students participate in a myriad of activities, clubs, community service projects and more where the main purpose is to make you feel "at home" here at CEC.
Dear Members of the Conwell-Egan Catholic High School Community,
I hope you and your families are enjoying a happy and blessed summer!
In June, I shared the appointment of Mr. Matthew Fischer (Class of 2004) as President of Conwell-Egan Catholic High School (CEC). Since that time, the Office of Catholic Education (OCE), in conjunction with CEC’s Board of Trustees, has been engaged in an extensive search process to identify your next Principal.
Today, I am excited to announce that Mr. Joshua K. Bower has been appointed Principal of CEC effective August 7, 2023. Since 2018, Mr. Bower has been an integral part of your school administration and most recently served as Assistant Principal for Academic Affairs where he has been instrumental in CEC’s academic growth.
Mr. Bower started his career in education with the School District of Philadelphia as the Health and Physical Education Teacher at Andrew Hamilton Elementary School. Following that, Mr. Bower served in a variety of roles at Thomas A. Edison High School including Health and Physical Education Teacher, Dean of Students, Athletic Director, Roster Chairperson, and coach for several athletic teams. Mr. Bower holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology from Temple University and a Master of Arts Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine. In addition, he attended the University of California San Diego’s Extension and Professional Development Institute where he received Continuing Education Credits.
Please join me in extending prayerful congratulations and best wishes to Mr. Bower as he prepares to assume his new role in service to the CEC community.
