Performing Arts in CSL

To kick off the school year, Tom Kuchler and CEC's Center for Performing Arts invited Thomas G. Waites for part 3 of a series of acting workshops centered around the work of William Shakespeare. Waites and the students are pictured here as they begin their workshop in our new CSL. Students will participate in monologues, improvisational comedy, and other exercises that will enhance their stage presence as well as their public speaking skills.


Graduating from Bishop Egan in 1968, Waites began his acting career in after attending Juilliard on scholarship. Waites has played lead and support roles in feature films such as Light of Day, and …And Justice for All, Waites starred in a number of Broadway plays before beginning his career as a director and producer. Waites currently owns and operates TGW acting studio in New York City, and posses his Masters of Fine Arts in playwriting. Waites is one of the Center for Student Leadership's Executives in Residence for the 2018-2019 school year
