The Conwell-Egan Catholic community proudly announces the appointment of Mr. Adam Bowen as the new
Head Coach of the Boys’ Basketball Program. We are confident that Coach Bowen will build a competitive
program prepared for the challenges of the Philadelphia Catholic League with a focus on character and faith
development. We are excited for this chapter of our Boys’ Basketball Program to begin under the tutelage of
Coach Bowen.
Prior to accepting the position of Head Basketball Coach at Conwell-Egan Catholic, Bowen was the CYO
Boys’ Basketball Head Coach & Boys’ Basketball Coordinator at Saint Andrew Parish in Newtown, PA for the
past two seasons. Prior to Saint Andrew, he spent seven seasons coaching high school and AAU basketball in
Bucks County, PA. He started his coaching career at Council Rock North as the Freshmen Head Coach and
Varsity Assistant for four seasons, followed by three seasons at Council Rock South as the JV Head Coach and
Varsity Assistant. Simultaneous to his coaching time in the Council Rock School District, Bowen helped launch
and coach the PA Players AAU team, which consisted of many All-League Bucks County players, featuring
former Villanova point guard and current Chicago Bulls point guard Ryan Arcidiacono.
Bowen is a 2003 graduate of Council Rock North High School and a 2007 graduate of Cabrini University,
where he was an honors student and member of the men’s basketball teams. He is currently the president of
Bowen Search in Newtown, PA, which is an executive search firm that specializes in the healthcare and life
sciences industry. In recent years, Bowen made the decision to strengthen his relationship with God and entered
the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) program and was confirmed Catholic as a proud member of
Saint Andrew Parish. He lives in Washington Crossing, PA with his wife Danielle, stepson Nicholas (10),
daughter Mila (4), and son James (3)
