The newly launched STEM program provides an opportunity for you to explore the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math with an integrated approach to learning that encourages students to think more broadly about real-world problems.
The STEM initiative at CEC aims to provide students with an opportunity to experience inquiry-based learning, with structured instruction in Engineering courses, as well as Robotics, and integrated technology exposure in class and extra-curricular settings.
The benefits of such exposure allow students to engage with a challenging scenario, question and investigate their prior ideas, explain their findings, apply it to new situations, and evaluate their knowledge and learning process.
The STEM initiative intends to provide a support group for CEC teachers to align or integrate curriculums, helping students develop the ability to think outside the box in every academic area where possible.
The goal of the STEM initiative at CEC is to allow students an opportunity to see not only what the field of engineering can look like, but to see the importance of problem-solving skills, solution-oriented learning, and collaboration with others.
