Ways to Give / Donate

Nothing shows CEC pride better than giving back. When you give to Conwell-Egan, you make it possible for students to experience the benefit of Catholic Education. You bring programs like the Center for Student Leadership to life. You make CEC a better place and keep the school spirit alive.

Your generosity provides boundless opportunities for our students each and every day. Our ability to provide the best experience for our students relies on philanthropic donors, alumni and local community partners. Your gift matters.

Your Contribution will...

  • Cultivate leaders for the present and future
  • Inspire scholars, and strengthen the academic rigor in our classroom
  • Serve God, and keep him in our presence throughout our lifetime

Ways to Give

The CEC Drive

A gift to the CEC Drive helps ensure the financial strength of CEC. We encourage alumni, parents, and friends of CEC to donate to this fund to enhance the overall quality of the school, education, and advancement in technology. This unrestricted fund allows us to put the student first, and use to donations in the areas of greatest need within the school. Our immediate needs consist of, a new library and study area, athletic fields and a new auditorium.

Matching Gifts

A matching gift is a charitable donation by a corporation that matches an employee's donation to an eligible nonprofit organization. Many employers provide a matching gift program, that allows you to double or even triple your donation.

Contact your employer's Human Resource Department and request a matching gift form. Complete the form, and kindly send it to the Development Office at CEC.

Tributes and Memorials

Know a CEC Alumni? Consider donating in honor of them. You can honor or memorialize a special person, or event by providing scholarships, or awards to CEC students. Also, if you know CEC alumni that passed away, we can set up a donation page in honor of them.

Planned Giving

Planned giving is a gift given in any amount and for any purpose - current operations, capital campaign or endowment - in which the donor makes the gift in light of personal, estate or financial planning considerations.

Bequests, gift annuities, life insurance benefits, charitable remainder trusts and gifts of appreciated securities are all examples of planned gifts. Such gifts can in some circumstances, maintain or increase your annual income, provide significant tax deductions and avoid capital gains taxes, all while still supporting CEC.

Capital Giving

Capital Giving is used to support a major, multi-year commitment to renew our facility for future students. Gifts to a Capital Giving Campaign will be sought during a set period of time to meet challenging and specific goals. These gifts provide the monies necessary to renovate the existing facility or to build an endowment for future needs of the school.

Pennsylvania EITC - Educational Improvement Tax Credit

Convert Your Business Tax Dollars into Support for CEC Students

A gift to CEC can provide your business with a substantial Pennsylvania tax credit through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC) while giving tuition assistance to deserving students. If your business is subject to one or more of the following PA taxes, it is eligible to participate in the EITC.

  • Personal Income Tax of corporation shareholders or Partnership partners
  • Corporate Net Income Tax
  • Capital Stock Franchise Tax
  • Bank & Company Shares Tax
  • Title Insurance Companies Shares Tax
  • Insurance Premiums Tax
  • Mutual Thrift Institution Tax
  • Personal Income Tax of S corporation shareholders or Partnership partners

This is how the EITC process works:

  • Your business submits a one-page online application to the PA Department of Community and Economic Development.
  • Upon approval, your business makes a donation to CEC's Scholarship Fund within 60 days.
  • CEC will respond with a written confirmation, in which you will forward to the DCED, and the tax credit is posted to your account at the PA Department of Revenue.
